The "LBD"...Little Black Dress

     The "LBD", no this is not a new texting acronym... "LBD" or the Little Black Dress. When you think "LBD" the silhouette which comes to mind is the classic sheath design made popular in the late 1920's. Over the years various interpretations of the "LBD" have been embraced.  The most celebrated "LBD" is the iconic dress designed by Givenchy, and worn by Audrey Hepburn in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's.

    The "LBD" is the strongest article of clothing in your closet.  The "LBD" is a true warrior waiting to be brought out to save the day.   The dress comes out; you pair it with a  classic kitten heel, stilettos or a classy flat skimmer.  Add a jacket or a sweater, pearls or a huge statement necklace and you're ready in an instant!  The "LBD" works hard and is always welcome to any occasion it is invited to attend.

Tried and true lipstick trio...

     Up until recently I didn't realize how passionate I am about all things for the lips.  I took the time to review my inventory which include various brands of lipstick, lip-gloss as well as, lip liner, lip brushes, etc.  I also recalled the many venues to purchase these lip items; many bought at specialty boutiques, make-up counters, as well as lip balms and lip treatments purchased in local health care stores and food markets.  A few weeks ago I happen to order Doll 10 Butter Up Color and Care Lipstick Trio. I know this is a bold statement, but these are the best lipsticks I have tried in a long time.  I just L-O-V-E them!!

Fall is Fast Approaching...

     Although the calendar tells us it is September and fall is fast approaching, the warm temperature outside reminds us there may still be a little summer left.  It is time to start taking a look at our closet and breakout those fall accessories to extend the use of your summer wardrobe.

     The 70's being an inspiration this season, I have added my vintage floppy felt hat to transition a summer outfit into fall.

Fall is a time of transition...

     As I ponder and enjoy the remainder of my beloved summer, I am excited to resurrect some of my special fall accessories.  Soon I will add a scarf and great boots and summer will be a distant memory.  But all things considered it is always so much fun to evolve and update our style.
