     I have spent the day reviewing the fashions of last evening's 88th Academy Award red carpet procession.  How does one come up with the best-dressed list of the evening?  There were so many choices, but for me I loved them as follows:

Brie Larson the best actress winner in this Gucci dress was breath taking...my personal favorite!

Charlize Theron in Dior Haute Couture-red on the red carpet, who said it can't be done? Perfection!

Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive, exquisite, she never disappoints. 

Rachel McAdams wearing August Getty Atelier backless gown...
paired with the sandal of the moment the Nudist by Stuart Weitzman.

Alicia Vikander - winning the best supporting actress - a vision in Louis Vuitton.

Gentlemen are not to be over looked...
Henry Cavil is Superman in Batman vs Superman...the pocket square was everything...

Naomi Watts in Armani Prive...so classic...the color was divine. 

A special nod to Lady Gaga in this Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit...her performance was so moving...

    These were just a few of the couture samples of Hollywood's most enchanting and glamorous night.

The Bride's Wedding Dress...

     Over the weekend I participated in a great event! "Here Come the Brides: A Century of Wedding Attire" was the featured exhibit at the Sigal Museum in Easton, PA.  The museum sits on the site of a former bridal gallery.  The highlight of the event was the exhibition of the Kingston family 120-year-old restored lacy couture-wedding gown.  The story of this dress has garnered global headlines!

     Couturier Deborah LoPresti the restorer of 120-year-old restored couture-wedding gown, presented a fashion show of bridal and eveningwear originals. 

     Catherine Gretta of Affairs of Distinction the wedding, special events planner & consultant brought together a host of luxe vendors to the expo including florist, original jewelry designer, photographers, caterers and more, all available to make every bride's wedding day a dream come true.

     In addition, Katherine Gressel of Event Painting by Katherine was on-hand encapsulating the essence of the day on canvas to be enjoyed by all for years to come.

     The gowns exhibited gave us the evolution and vast diversity of style, colors and unique fabrications of a bride's wedding dress over the century. 

A Bride is a woman on her wedding day. 
A Wedding Day is a celebration of a marriage 

A Wedding Dress is an expression of each bride's individual style.

Happy Valentine's...

     Valentine's day is a day when we celebrate Love.  We exchange cards, notes, flowers, candy and a host of many other special treats.  

     One way to celebrate your love and your loved one symbolically, is by adding a eternity band with your spouse's birthstone stack up against your wedding band.  

     I love the color and the ever reminder of when he came into this world and later into mine.  

My garnet eternity band...my husband's birthstone...

     Some prefer adding an eternity birthstone ring for each child to their wedding set.  Whatever you prefer.  Each band is a representation of those you love and of those who love you.

     Today is a celebration of love.  Young and old we all like to be remembered.  We like to know we are special.  We like to know we are appreciated by those we love.  We like to know we are LOVED.

Remember to take a few moments today to tell those you love how much you really love them.
